FRF is a non-profit organization that helps people whose rights have been denied them and who are often at risk of prison sentences or even of execution. Read more about us here.
If you support what we do, why not join us as a volunteer? Right now we urgently need two volunteers: a Webmaster and a Social Media Manager.
Webmaster
We are looking for an enthusiastic human rights supporter who can work up to 5 hours per week (occasionally more) who would love to treat our website as their baby. The ideal candidate will have good English, experience managing a complex website, good experience with WordPress, and some graphics skills for simple image manipulation.
The Webmaster’s role is to:
- Keep the website refreshed with original content.
- Post pages and articles and ensure visual quality is maintained.
- Ensure articles have compelling snippets and the metatags & keywords necessary for SEO.
- Liaise with our hosting technical support to resolve any site issues.
- Keep WordPress and plug-ins up-to-date and install & configure new plugins as necessary.
The Webmaster will work with content writers to ensure a steady stream of new content (it is not essential for you to write content yourself, but if you can, all the better!)
This is a voluntary, unpaid, work-from-home role. You will need a computer and good internet access. You do not have to live in Nigeria.
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager’s role is to keep our Facebook Page and Twitter account regularly refreshed with quality content and to grow our followers on both platforms.
Content will focus on FRF campaigns and other FRF issues as well as links to articles on related issues from around the world. We aim to make our social media go-to places for people interested in human rights and religion.
You will be free to recruit volunteer Social Media Assistants to help find good material to publish and Authors to write relevant articles or create memes.
The ideal candidate for this role will have worked or volunteered on the Facebook page of an organization and be familiar with techniques for growing a social media following.
This is a voluntary, unpaid, work-from-home role. You will need a computer and good internet access. You do not have to live in Nigeria.
